The Ecumenical and Biblical Studies Library (BOSEB)

The BOSEB (Bibliothèque Oecuménique et Scientifique d’Etudes Bibliques) is part of The Bibliothèque Jean de Vernon (Jean de Vernon Library), opened in 1995.

History

The BOSEB was founded in 1967 by the Catholic University of Paris in collaboration with the ACFEB (Association Catholique Française pour l’Etude de la Bible / French Catholic Association for Bible study) and the Service Biblique de la Fédération Protestante de France (the Biblical Department of the Protestant Federation of France).

It offers a wide range of reference works for specialists, journals and books on the Bible and the Ancient East.

Access and Registration

The Bibliothèque Jean de Vernon is reserved for specialists (professors, researchers) and Master's students. Undergraduate students are admitted with a letter of recommendation from their professor.

Academic year
Monday and Friday: 10am – 7pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9am – 7 pm

Academic vacations
From Monday to Friday: 10am – 6pm
July – mid-September:
From Monday to Friday: 1pm – 6pm

The library closes for two weeks during the Christmas holidays.
All changes of opening hours will be announced in advance.
