The BOSEB was founded in 1967 by the Catholic University of Paris in collaboration with the ACFEB (Association Catholique Française pour l’Etude de la Bible / French Catholic Association for Bible study) and the Service Biblique de la Fédération Protestante de France (the Biblical Department of the Protestant Federation of France).
It offers a wide range of reference works for specialists, journals and books on the Bible and the Ancient East.
The Bibliothèque Jean de Vernon is reserved for specialists (professors, researchers) and Master's students. Undergraduate students are admitted with a letter of recommendation from their professor.
