
| The Revue des études byzantines (REB) is the continuation of the Échos d’Orient, a journal founded in 1897 by a group of Assumptionist scholars led by Louis Petit at Kadiköy, an Eastern suburb of Istanbul. 39 volumes of the Échos were published until 1942. The first three volumes of the successor journal appeared under the title of Etudes byzantines (1943-1945). The Revue des études byzantines is issued in one volume per year. |
The journal publishes studies and research notes on all aspects of Byzantine history and civilization. All articles are peer-reviewed. Any proposal or manuscript should be submitted by mail or email to the following address:
