In June 2011 the Catholic University of Paris has signed a new partnership with the University Diego Portales-UDP (Santiago, Chile) opening the doors for Catholic University of Paris students to study in Chile while enabling Chilean students to study here at the Catholic University of Paris.
The UDP, located in the heart of Santiago, is a highly regarded university recommended by the French Embassy in Chile, and is particularly known for architecture, education, social sciences and economics.
This is the second agreement reached with a Chilean university of Santiago. The Catholic University of Paris already enjoys a relationship with the Pontificia Universidad Católica (PUC) in Santiago. Chile is a country currently expanding its overseas relationships and seeking international partnerships for its educational and scientific projects. While Chile remains primarily focussed on the United-States, cooperation with Europe offers a rich field of possibilities for development.
