Higher Institute for Theology of the Arts (ISTA)
The ISTA provides students with the skills they need to understand the religious tradition and contemporary artistic practices, aimed at helping them to make their own theological judgments. Its multidisciplinary approach to the senses is useful when reflecting on what sight, touch, hearing, touch and feeling have to say about human reality as a whole.
Rooted in aesthetic experience, therefore, an education in theology and the arts (understood both as performance and experience) helps students to develop a sensory and intellectual approach to God.
Courses are designed for Church leaders, artists and civic leaders involved with the arts, as well as for anyone wishing to understand the relation between the arts and Christianity throughout history and up to the present day.
