THEOLOGICUM Faculty of Theology and Religious Sciences

The Faculty of Theology and Religious Sciences (renamed Theologicum in 2009) was created in 1889 and is a French-speaking and international hub for Theology. Through the different institutions it is made up of, the Faculty offers a range of specific and original disciplines in theology, which are often unique to the Institute, at every level of training (initiation, specialisation and research) and which meet the academic standards of the Holy See.

With 190 lecturers and almost 5 000 students, auditors and interns, the Theologicum is an extremely diverse intellectual, human and spiritual crossroads. The courses it offers lead to qualifications and fit in with all kinds of family or professional circumstances, as they can be taken part-time, during the day or at the weekend or in the evenings. They include the three university stages in theology, and canonical diplomas recognised by the Holy See are issued: canonical baccalaureates, canonical degrees (research masters) and canonical doctorates in theology, as well as the Catholic University of Paris' own diplomas.
