"Les jeunes ont la parole !" - "Young people have their say!" Come and discover major masterpieces of the Louvre Museum commented by the students in Art History at the Institut de Langue et de Culture Françaises, Catholic University of Paris.
The French Language and Culture Institute is a partner of the Louvre Museum for 7 years, and participates in the event "Les jeunes ont la parole" - "Young people have their say!"
Thanks to this partnership, our students in Art History have the opportunity to get an experience of cultural mediation in French and in other foreign languages.
The theme for 2011 is « Parlez-moi d’amour ».
You'll be able to listen to them and talk with them about paintings from the French Renaissance: Poussin, Rubens, Watteau, Boucher, Fragonard, Greuze…
Muguette Mandel, Art History teacher at the ILCF helps around 20 students every year to participate in the event.
During individual tutoring sessions, they study an artist and one piece of art that they will then present to the visitors of the Louvre Museum.
This is a unique oportunity for our students! During 3 evenings they can become a "guide at the Louvre Museum" !
Come and share with them their passion for art and French Culture!
On fridays at 7pm.:
December 9 and 16, 2011
January 20, 2012
Free entrance for people under 26 years-old
